Billy Porter is popularly known for his acting credits in numerous TV series and movies like "POSE," "Cinderella," "Smoke, Lillies and Jade," and many more as well as his music career. However, in recent months, the award-winning actor had to make big sacrifices due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes which led him to put his home for sale.

The singer recently spoke woth the Evening Standard where he opened up about struggling with his finances amid the issues that Hollywood is currently facing.

"I have to sell my house," he said, adding, "I don't know when we're gonna go back. The life of an artist, until you make 'f*** you money' - which I haven't made yet - is still [check-to-check]."

Billy Porter's Upcoming Projects Already Canceled Due to Ongoing Strikes

Prior to the strikes, which happened earlier this year, Porter said he had two upcoming projects, one movie and one television program which was scheduled to start in September.

However, both projects aren't happening anymore due to the issues within the entertainment industry.

"To the person who said, 'We're going to starve them out until they have to sell their apartments' - you've already starved me out," he added. (via Vibe)

The musician, who recently separated from his husband Adam Smith after more than half a decade of being together, did not give more details about the house that he sold.
