Billie Eilish just confirmed that she is currently working on a new album through Instagram, and fans have begun speculating what it might be about.

According to reports, the "What Was I Made For" singer shared pictures of a music recording studio on her Instagram stories, and finally answered the million-dollar question that has been lingering in the fans' minds, "Are you working on a new album?" To which she replied, "Ohhhhhhh yesssss."

As of this writing, not much is known about Eilish's upcoming album, but fans already have several requests, and some of them are also wondering if the songs and concept will be heavily inspired by the singer's ex-boyfriend Jesse Rutherford and their whirlwind romance.

Rumors about the former couple have been circulating online, and many suspect that the reason why they broke up was because of a third party.

Billie Eilish Shuts Down Rumors About Jesse Rutherford

As per Eilish's recent Instagram Story, the "Bad Guy" singer finally addressed the long-standing rumors surrounding her ex-boyfriend and their relationship.

It began with a fan asking if Eilish was dating anyone, to which she replied, "No Sirrrrr."

Then someone else asked "Jesse?" Eilish finally put the rumors surrounding them to rest by simply replying, "very very good friends only. My homie forever," with a bunch of heart emojis.

It seems like whether or not Eilish and Rutherford's relationship ended in good terms or bad, fans will definitely be hearing about it in her upcoming album.

Billie Eilish Dates Jesse Rutherford

Eilish and Rutherford were linked back in late 2022 when they hard-launched their relationship during the Holloween holidays.

They were met with criticisms from fans, who pointed out the couple's 10-year age gap.

The relationship did not last long, though, because just several months later, they broke up.

A spokesperson from Eilish's camp released a statement noting that despite the breakup, the pair remain good friends.

"We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends," the statement said. "All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single."

Despite their insistence, fans still seemed to be convinced that whatever went down between Eilish and her ex-boyfriend was not amicable, and are determined to see what the singer will have to say about it in her music, and not her statement.

For now, though, fans would have to wait, as there is no news about the upcoming album's release.
