It's a collision of the teen idols. After months of rumors and Instagram teases, it seems as though Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson have united for a collaborative album that will be released before the end of the year.

In an interview with The Sydney Daily Telegraph, Simpson announced that he and Bieber had teamed up for a straight duets album that will be released in November.

"It is a smack bang duets [album]," he said about the new album with Bieber. "Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while. It's just us writing. He told me he felt like I'd figured myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, 'I see you as that guitarist, singer-songwriter you've always wanted to be.' I play all the guitars on the album."

Though Simpson noted that he and Bieber are "definitely different people and come from different places and different worlds," he noted that the two worked well together and that the "Confident" singer had always been "extremely cool and gracious" toward him.

Further details surrounding the album, beyond a vague November release date, are forthcoming.

However, Simpson has teased some of the new music on his Instagram (of course). Though the Aug. 1 post initially went largely unnoticed, the short audio clip set to an all-black background now seems to be a teaser for the Bieber/Simpson album.

Light acoustic guitar compliments the two youngster's voices. Bieber seems to kick things off, singing a refrain of "start again" before Simpson takes the reigns.

The "smack bang duets album" between Simpson and Bieber will be the first collaborative album for both of the teen idols. The untitled effort will follow Bieber's December 2013 album Journals and Simpson's July 2013 album Surfer's Paradise.
