Taylor Swift shocked the world when she announced the release date of her highly-awaited re-recorded album, "1989." Since announcing it, fans were even more thrilled that she would finally complete the re-recording of her stolen albums.

Fans speculate that after "1989 (Taylor's Version)," she would then proceed to release "Reputation (Taylor's Version)," and then the debut album.

However, it seemed like the re-recording for "Reputation" hasn't started yet as Ed Sheeran admits that he hasn't returned to the recording booth with Swift yet for "End Game."

Ed Sheeran Says 'End Game' Hasn't Been Recorded Yet

In 2017, Taylor Swift collaborated with Ed Sheeran and Future for the "reputation" track, "End Game." The song has since peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since been certified Platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Well, according to Ed Sheeran, he hasn't returned to the booth yet to re-record the said track.

Speaking to Andy Cohen's Deep & Shallow SiriusXM podcast, he confessed that he hasn't worked with Swift again yet.

"No, I haven't," he said. "No. No. But 1989 (Taylor's Version) is the next one coming out. That's the next one."

Ed Sheeran has worked with Swift before in another re-recording, "Everything Has Changed," from the album, "Red (Taylor's Version)."

Taylor Swift '1989 (Taylor's Version)'

Taylor Swift announced the arrival of "1989 (Taylor's Version)" during the last day of her SoFi Stadium concerts in Inglewood, California - which was also the end of her first leg of "The Eras" Tour in the United States.

She will then take a brief pause before embarking on her South American leg of the tour.

"The last time that I was so pleasantly surprised by some stuff that you guys did was when I announced that I was going to be re-recording. That was something that I expected to be just a me thing, just a personal thing. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to own my music. The way to do it was to re-record my albums, and the way that you have embraced ... that you have celebrated, that you really decided that it was your fight too, and that you were 100 percent behind me ... I will never stop thanking you for that," Swift said before unveiling the "1989 (Taylor's Version)" release date and album art on stage.
