Lea Michele Bio 

Lea Michele Sarfati was born on August 29, 1986 in Bronx, New York. Lea was a Broadway star as early as nine years of age. Raised in New Jersey, Lea lived most of her childhood years in New York city. When Lea reached her teen years, she decided to concentrate on finishing school, instead of pursuing big-budget musicals. 

While she was a high school student in Tenafly, New Jersey, Lea started to participate in workshops for a new rock musical group called, "Spring Awakening," as per All Music. 

How Lea Michele Started Her Acting and Music Careers 

Duncan Sheik and lyricist, Steven Slater, enhanced the music written for "Spring Awakening" for seven years while Lea graduated from high school, and Lea resumed doing broadway performances at that time. Lea starred in the lead role of "Spring Awakening" when the musical show moved to Broadway in 2006. 

Michele's debut solo album, "Louder," was released in 2014. The album featured Sia, Christina Perri, and producers, Stargate and Colin Munroe. In 2014, Lea released her first book called, "Brunette Ambition." The budding singer/actress simulataneously appeared on the final season of the FX drama series, "Sons of Anarchy." Michele's other major projects were the TV series, "Scream Queens," a second book called,"You First: Journal Your Way to Your Best Life" (2015), and the 2016 single, "This is for My Girls", which benefitted a White House charity campaign.

Lea Michele Major Accomplishments in the Entertainment Business

Lea released her sophomore album, "Places," in 2017. The songs in this album took Lea back to her passion and work in the musical theatrical scene. The album entered the number 28 position of the chart upon being released on April 2017. 

Lea continuously worked in the television and movie industries moving forward from this time on. She starred in the ABC sitcom series, "The Mayor" in 2017 to 2018. In 2019, Lea appeared on the holiday-themed movie called, "Same Time, Next Christmas." The singer/actress released her holiday album, "Christmas in the City" in October 2019. 

Lea is notably known for starring as Rachel Berry in the musical TV series, "Glee" in 2009-2015, as per Imdb. 

One More Week of 'Funny Girl' on Stage 

Lea has been starring on the musical theatrical show series, "Funny Girl" since September 2022. As per Imdb, Lea plays Fanny Brice on Broadway in the show. The show's final run is on September 3 later on this year.
