This unexpected news has created a stir all across social media platforms.
Rumors have been circulating of Joe having issues with Sophie's "excessive partying" being a reason for their split.
Nevertheless, those close to the British actress say the DNCE front man and his public relations team have painted an inaccurate image of Sophie.
An inquiry to X/Twitter revealed an individual who held Joe responsible for not providing adequate aid to his spouse.
Continuing their comment, they said, "[Sophie] had been completely immersed in 'Game Of Thrones' for some time and didn't do much else while he jetted off on tour. It seems like his attitude is not one of a supportive husband."
Adding to what was said, they concluded, "It's such an awful thing how his team is trying to control public opinion. Also, Joe Jonas Stanning in 2023??!!!"
Their latest social media asserted that Joe's team attempted to paint Sophie negatively due to her career choice.
Furthermore, they added that this could convey an impression of him as unsupportive of her.
Accordingly, another person followed this: "Also, no one is saying Sophie was a child bride or that her kids are a mistake. We are saying why is Joe's team trying to make her look bad for working?"
A Twitter user responded to Joe Jonas' post, saying, "He's just trying to play the victim here."

Celebrating her ITV series "Joan" wrap party in Digbeth, Birmingham, Sophie was seen enjoying cocktails and shots at DropShot bar on Saturday night.
Manager Herzon Stephenson shared drinks with Sophie alongside approximately 70 production team members.
The Daily Mail revealed that the manager's description of the blonde beauty was extraordinary.
To him, she appeared cheerful and unworried despite the situation involving her divorce. "It astonished me," was how put it.
Furthermore, they discovered he and Sophie had a lot in common - both being from Warwickshire and Coventry areas, and they knew some of the same people from the party scene in those regions.
