Jimmy Buffett passed away last week, and fans turned to his music to cope with his death; which is exactly how his album "Songs You Know By Heart" re-entered the Billboard 200.

According to Billboard, Buffett's best-of collection returned on the chart's Sept. 16-dated list and even peaked at No. 4, with over 52,000 units, making it the highest it has ever ranked since its release.

While Buffett has passed away, his music lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and fans, who have, in their own way, made the career milestone happen.

"Jimmy Buffett is so hot right now, he's making the Billboard 200 sweat!" A fan wrote.

"The old wine tastes better," another said.

Jimmy Buffett Dies of Merkel Cell Cancer

According to reports, the "Magraritaville" singer was 76 when he suddenly and tragically passed away due to Merkel cell cancer, a rare form of skin cancer.

Apparently, Merkel skin cancer affects a huge portion of a person's health, given that it wreaks havoc on the skin as well as the immune system.

Buffett did not disclose that he was battling such a severe illness despite going on tour and performing at shows.

"Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you," the singer said following a canceled show in South Carolina after being hospitalized.

On a separate occasion, Buffett talked about a medical concern, but did not delve into the details of it.

"I had to stop in Boston for a checkup but wound up back in the hospital to address some issues that needed immediate attention."

That is why his death was a complete shock to his fans, who had no idea their favorite singer was going through a health crisis.
