Months after Sinead O'Connor's death, her ex-husband looked back at their memories and called the late singer "funniest person."

The London Metropolitan Police found O'Connor unresponsive at her London flat in July and soon pronounced her death. Although months have passed, people still mourn her and deal with the massive loss.

Sinead O'Connor Had Close Friendship With Ex-Husband

After O'Connor's divorce from John Reynolds, the music producer looked back at their close friendship even after they split in 1991. The ex-couple wed in 1989 and share a son named Jake.

In his interview with Hot Press magazine's special edition, Reynolds recalled how the "Nothing Compares 2 U" hitmaker maintained a great sense of humor despite all her political stances and serious tirades against issues.

"She was great fun to just hang out, and talk with," Reynolds said. "She was the funniest person I know, because she really didn't care. There was nobody really like her. She was just such a unique force."

Reynolds added that he was concerned for O'Connor after her son Shane's death. The 17-year-old died by suicide in January 2022 and left the crooner extremely devastated until her own last days.

The "Thank You for Hearing Me" singer haunted everyone with her last social media post before her death, speaking about her late son and paying tribute to him.

"#lostmy17yrOldSonToSuicidein2022," she said on X, formerly Twitter. "Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him."
