Sinead O'Connor's Death

O'Connor was pronounced dead on July 26 after London's Metropolitan Police found her unresponsive in a London flat she had been renting.

The Met police revealed that her death is not suspicious, but it would reportedly take months to determine a cause of death.

"No medical cause of death was given," the report said, per Reuters. "The coroner, therefore, directed an autopsy to be conducted. The results of this may not be available for several weeks."

The remains of the "The Last Day of Our Acquaintance" singer reunited with her family after the autopsy to allow them to hold a funeral for her. Clerk of the London Inner South district for Southwark Coroners Court told The Irish Times that the autopsy was conducted to know her medical cause of death.
