Rapper Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie Mai Jenkins after over two years of marriage.

Jeezy - born Jay Wayne Jenkin - called it quits with his wife and filed the divorce papers in Atlanta, Ga., on Thursday. They wed on March 27, 2021, years after they struck a romance in 2018.

According to the filing obtained by People, the estranged couple had a prenup agreement in place and is currently "living in a bona fide state of separation."

The 45-year-old "Leave You Alone" rapper noted in his divorce papers that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" with "no hope for reconciliation."

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which first reported the news, noted that Jeezy wants both of them to have joint legal custody of their daughter, 20-month-old Monaco, who they welcomed in January 2022.

Jeezy and Jeannie have yet to address their split.

The duo met on Jeannie's daytime talk show "The Real" set and started dating afterward. They made their relationship officially public in August 2019.

The filing came months after the estranged couple marked their two-year wedding anniversary through a surprise Vietnam trip that the "How Do I Look?" star prepared for him. The rapper previously wanted to propose to her in Hoi An, Vietnam but changed his plans because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"When Jeezy and I met, we bonded over the similarities and differences of our cultures," the matriarch told People. "Now that we have a daughter, blending our worlds, it gives even more meaning to explore Vietnam together as a multicultural family."

Instead of Vietnam, Jeezy's condo became their engagement venue and decorated it to look like Hoi An.

Jeezy and Jeannie Mai's Relationship Bloomed After Marriage

Although their union is now irretrievably broken, the fashion expert previously spoke candidly about their marriage that made their relationship "1,000 percent different in the greatest way."

"And now being married, it's even more handled with such delicacy and such thoughtfulness, because we're in our 40s and we both grew up in households that weren't healthy marriages," Jeannie told Entertainment Tonight. "We have never seen what that looks like."

Aside from Monaco, Jeezy is also a father to son Jadarius Dykes and daughter Amra Nor Jenkins.
