Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's split and divorce have taken a rather more bitter route as new details about their separation and family life have emerged.

Turner is suing Jonas for "wrongful retention" of her children even though they agreed in the past that England would be their home.

Joe Jonas Abducted His Children?

According to the lawsuit that Sophie Turner has filed, exclusively obtained by People Magazine, Turner is requesting her two kids to be returned to England.

The lawsuit calls for "the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained." Apparently, the kids have been in Jonas' care ever since. The move to put the whole ruckus into a lawsuit started on Sep. 20, 2023, the date that Turner's legal camp claims to be the time of Joe Jonas' "wrongful retention" of his children.

Turns out, Jonas and Turner declared on Christmas 2022 that England would be the children's "forever home."

Days after news that Turner and Jonas's split emerged on social media, Joe Jonas was seen with the children - a move that netizens claim to be a PR move by the Jonas Brother member.

Based on the documents, Jonas began his tour with his brothers in the United States with his two children. The couple agreed that this was okay since Jonas had more time in the daytime than Turner as she was filming in England. However, Turner has expressed "hesitation" on the "temporary arrangement."

In April 2022, the now estranged couple sold their Miami home as they were supposed to purchase a new home in England.

Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas Reason of Divorce Revealed?

According to People Magazine, Turner claimed that their marriage spiraled down "very suddenly" after a heated argument last Aug. 15, 2023. Three weeks later, Turner found out that Jonas had filed for divorce "through the media."

Meanwhile, the custody battle has since escalated when the couple discussed the move to England.

"The Father has possession of the children's passports. He refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother," Turner's legal camp said in a statement.

According to Jonas, he refuses to give the passports as he's not providing consent for their children to move to England.
