Ever since Toby Keith announced to the world that he had been battling a medical condition, fans were worried about him and were curious to know the state of his health today.

More recently, the singer appeared to be in good spirits as he gave an update regarding his treatment, saying he feels better today than he did last year.

According to Billboard, the musician attended the first-ever People's Choice Country Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House recently where he took home the Country Icon award.

During an interview on the red carpet with Extra, he gave fans an update regarding his condition today two years after he found out that he has stomach cancer.

"I feel pretty good, you know? You have good days and bad days. It's a little bit of a roller coaster. I'm doing a lot better than I was this time last year," he told the outelt.

He added that the reason why he is strong today is because of his faith and he always pray for his life.

"I've always rode with a prayer. As long as I have Him with me, I'm cool. You just have to dig in. You don't have a choice," he added.

Keith proved his strength as he also performed during the inagural awards show.

The recent news comes after Toby Keith spoke with RadarOnline to share to his fans in the future amid his battle with stomach cancer.

In the July interview, the musician said he was determined to get back on tour despite his medical condition. At the time, he was able to perform for more than two hours at Hollywood Corners in Norman, Oklahoma, a music venue that he owns.

Toby Keith Cancer Diagnosis

Last year, Toby Keith shocked the world as he announced that he was diagnosed with stomach cancer the year prior.

He told his followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he spent the last six months undergoing treatment such as chemotheraphy, radiation, as well as surgery.

At the time, he assured his fans that he felt "good" but he needed time to recover and relax from his condition.

He added that he looked forward to spending his time with his family members but he would like to see his fans again in the near future.
