The legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur, has finally received justice after being shot and killed 27 years ago.

Despite the good news and much-needed closure Tupac's family and fans have been waiting for, the rapper's brother Mopreme Shakur, expressed his dissatisfaction.

"It's bittersweet for a number of reasons-the time, of course, 27 years," he said in a recent interview regarding the arrest of Duane "Keffe D" Davis.

"It didn't have to be this way, it didn't have to happen at all. I wouldn't even have to live in the reality that my brother's not here.

"Justice is accountability, that's the sweet part in bittersweet but some form of accountability. I'm bracing 'cause it ain't over. We still got to see if there were accomplices, we still got to see the motive," he added.

Tupac's Murder Solved

Additionally, Mopreme also noted that he thinks there are more people involved in the rapper's tragic death; he urged the authorities to double down on the investigation and find everyone involved in the death of Tupac in 1996.

According to reports, Keffe D has been a suspect in the murder of Tupac for several years. While he was not identified as the gunman himself, he was part of the conspiracy to kill the rapper and was in fact the ringleader.

"Duane Davis was the shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime, and he orchestrated the plan that was carried out." said Lieutenant Jason Johansson of the Las Vegas police.

Keffe D was arrested while he was on a walk near his home in Las Vegas. He is facing more than 20 years for the murder and gang activity charges if he is convicted.

Tupac's Family Thankful

While Tupac's family recognizes that the arrest moves their brother's murder case in the right direction, they cannot help but feel like they were let down by the justice system.

"This is no doubt a pivotal moment," Sekyiwa Shakur, the rapper's sister, wrote. "The silence of the past 27 years surrounding this case has spoken loudly in our community.

"It's important to me that the world, the country, the justice system, and our people acknowledge the gravity of the passing of this man, my brother, my mother's son, my father's son.

"[...] There have been multiple hands involved and there remains so much surrounding the life and death of my brother Tupac and our Shakur family overall. We are seeking real justice, on all fronts."
