Betraying the Martyrs have been around for a long time now, 15 years to be exact, that's why fans were surprised when they announced that they breaking up out of nowhere; what happened to the group?

In a statement posted on their social media accoiunts the band confirmed that they're splitting after more than a decade of a "very successful career."

They were able to perform at nearly 1000 shows throughout their careers, but they decided to close the curtains and "call it a day."

"As we've always been, we'd like to remain transparent with you guys, who have been supporting us for all these years and through so many events," they added.

Betraying the Martyrs Disbanding Due to Financial Struggles?

Elsewhere in their announcement, the band cited the economical situation that the world is facing today.

They noted that the increases in prices took a massive toll on the band and it also became a problem when it comes to their financial aspects.

"We simply came to the conclusion that we don't have the strength to move forward together anymore. For the past months, we have been struggling to function as a band, to make consensual, unanimous decisions and to be able to all look in the same directions," they added.

Since the band is breaking up, they wanted to give their fans a one last ride by releasing a brand new song accompanied with a 7-minute music video which they worked hard for. (via Loudwire)

"It is with a lot of emotions and a very heavy heart that we would like to present to you our very last piece, a beautiful 7 minutes-long music video that took us immense efforts in the making," they added.

As a treat to their fans, the band released their "final offering" titled "The Veil," which is now available for streaming on major music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

"We would like to thank every single one of you for all those beautiful years spent together, we will cherish those memories for the rest of our lives," the band concluded their statement.
