Bruno Mars Bio 

Peter Gene Hernandez (professionally known as Bruno Mars) was born on October 8, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bruno Mars began to show his love for and talent in music at the tender age of four. As per All Music, at four years old, Bruno fronted the vocals for his uncle's band. As a result, Bruno became Oahu, Hawaii's youngest Elvis impersonator ever been known. 

Ten years have passed since that impersonation when Bruno played the character of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Bruno did an MJ impersonation as a part of the Legends in Concert performance. After Bruno finished high school in 2003, the aspiring singer followed his uncle's advice by moving to California to professionally pursue a music career. 

How Bruno Mars Started His Music Career 

Bruno Mars met songwriter Philip Lawrence in the process, who, in turn, was the one who made the aspiring musician become convinced to try writing songs for other artists. The duo got themselves the nickname or stage name The Smeezingtons. Together, they co-wrote Brandy's song, "Long Distance." 

The pair gained their first number one hit song in 2009 when they co-wrote Flo Rida's international hit called, "Right Round."

Bruno Mars Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades 

Bruno Mars made his major name in the music business in 2010, when he was featured in B.O.B.'s chart-topping hit, "Nothin' On You," and co-wrote the song, "BIllionaire." At about the same time, Bruno co-wrote the Grammy-nominated song, "F--- You" with Ceelo Green. 

Finally, in May 2010, Bruno released his own debut EP, "It's Better If You Don't Understand." During the latter part of 2010, Bruno's complete debut studio album, "Doo Wops & Hooligans" was released. The hit single, "Just the Way You Are" was taken off the said album. "Grenade" was another number one single from the Hawaiian singer native. The song stayed in the top ten alongside other hits, "The Lazy Song" and "It Will Rain." 

Bruno Mars Cancels Live Performance in Tel Aviv, Israel 

Bruno Mars' scheduled Saturday, October 7, 2023, concert in Tel Aviv, Israel has been cancelled. The singer held a live performance in the city for the first time on Wednesday, October 4, to an audience of 60,000 people, as per CNN. The alleged cancellation of Bruno's concert was caused by the state of war that has reportedly been ongoing in Israel.
