Chris Brown is telling all in his first post-jail interview with Billboard and the magazine just offered up a preview of what's to come.

From Rihanna, to life behind bars, to facing his demons, Brown is dishing on it all as he tries to move on from his past.

"I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure," Brown told Billboard. "I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life."

Earlier this week, the "New Flame" singer pled guilty in connection to an assault case in Washington, D.C.

According to CBS News, Brown pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge after punching a fan outside of a club in October.

The D.C. assault case carried a heavy weight and potential punishment for Brown. He was still under probation for his 2011 assault on Rihanna at the time of the altercation and violated the rules of his probation by hitting the man, who tried to get into a photo Brown was taking with two female fans.
