After months-long hiatus of "Saturday Night Live" because of the Writers' Strike and the Actors' Strike in Hollywood, they finally returned last Saturday with a bombastic episode from Pete Davidson and Ice Spice.
Davidson served as the host while Ice Spice made her "SNL" debut as a musical guest. Swift, who has publicly raved about Ice Spice, makes a shocking cameo in the premiere episode.
Taylor Swift Introduced Ice Spice on 'Saturday Night Live'
In a grand tradition on "Saturday Night Live," usually the host introduces the musical guests. However, through the years, these can sometimes be changed when another special guest makes an introduction. (via Variety)
In last Saturday's case, Pete Davidson did not introduce Ice Spice's performance, it was Taylor Swift who did.
Ice Spice first linked with Taylor Swift on "Karma" where the latter collaborated with the burgeoning rapper. Since then, Ice Spice has long considered her a mentor and a close friend.
"Sometimes I just wake up and I'm like, 'I'ma text Taylor' or 'I'ma text Nicki.' And then they be answering and I'm like, 'Wow, that really makes me feel like that girl, for real,'" she told Variety in an interview. "Them supporting me and just encouraging me gives me all the motivation I need."

Swift wore a simple yet very alluring outfit in her surprise cameo, a black tank that featured a V-line down to her waist and some square pants. She had her blonde hair pinned up in a messy bun too.

Travis Kelce on 'Saturday Night Live'
"Saturday Night Live" wouldn't be the comedy sketch show it is if it did not reflect very recent news. In a skit, cast member Kenan Thompson played a sportscaster annoyed by his co-sportscasters, who all turned out to be die-hard Swifties. His onsite field reporter? Pete Davidson at an NFL match wearing nothing but Taylor Swift's "The Eras" tour merchandise.
Davidson reported about any Taylor Swift sighting at the arena he was reporting from. They drew this sketch from the ongoing joke with sportscasters who are very thrilled to see Taylor Swift on Kansas City Chiefs' games as he supports his new beau, Travis Kelce.
Annoyed, Kenan then said that after the break of their fictional show, they would be talking with someone who actually cares about basketball - Travis Kelce - who made a surprise cameo at the end, moments before the sketch wrapped up.
The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce cameo on "Saturday Night Live" surely had everyone thrilled, not just because they did it, but also because they were spotted hours later going on a date in New York City.
