The female rap scene is nothing but vicious and cutthroat. Fans of female rappers, especially Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been asserting their respective dominance in the online sphere for years.

On social media, when one artist expresses favor over the other, no matter how harmless they put it, these fans will find fault in it anyway.

Very recently, Bebe Rexha took the brunt of it.

Bebe Rexha Says Nicki Minaj Is Better Than Cardi B

In an Instagram Live video on her account, Bebe Rexha was asked who she favors more - Nicki Minaj or Cardi B. (via AllHipHop)

In an honest response, the Grammy-nominated singer laid out her thoughts as carefully as possible.

"I like Cardi because I f### with her personality, I like how real she is, but like with Nicki, I just feel like the talent the writing talent, the musicality, the artistry...untouchable," she explained to her friend who was also with her in the Instagram live.

Rexha's friend then went on to claim that Cardi doesn't write 95 percent of her rap while Nicki Minaj writes "all of her stuff."

But before the storm, Rexha warned saying: "Let's not get into that because we don't want the Cardi Stans coming after us," before answering a phone call.

Obviously, her warning wasn't enough as it was too late.

Bardigang Drags Bebe Rexha Over Nicki Minaj Comment

Bardigang, Cardi's loyal fanbase, had torches and insults hurling Rexha's way on Twitter.

""AND tried to reduce Cardi's success to 'personality.' B#### we all funny. Cardi HAS TO BE TALENTED in order for her to reach the levels of success that she has. Bffr," someone said.

"Bebe Rexha putting Cardi down in order to bring Nicki up is very telling this the same woman who said if she was on a sidewalk people wouldn't know who she was," another commented.

"If Bebe ain't mean no harm she wouldn't have said nothing about 'lets not get into that topic before the Cardi fans get on us' she knew wtf she was doing," a third person wrote.

Some fans even pointed out that Bebe Rexha would be unrecognizable if she was on the street - something that Cardi would never experience.

However, the Barbz defended Bebe Rexha, who collaborated with Nicki Minaj on "No Broken Hearts" and "Hey Mama."

"IM SAYING and the last time cardi b hit the billboard top 10 was last year despite so many releases this year LMAOO," someone said on social media.
