Sean "Diddy" Combs has been in the spotlight after his former beau Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, brought legal action against him in Federal District Court in NYC on November 16th.

Cassie Ventura, better known as the "Me and You" singer, has brought severe accusations against Sean Combs, such as "rape, and of repeated physical abuse over about a decade."

After an 11-year relationship, a split between two well-known names recently occurred.

According to Billboard, Diddy and Cassie had been dating on and off since 2007 before their separation in 2018.

In a statement obtained by New York Times, 37-year-old Cassie expressed her desire to share her story to benefit other women facing domestic violence or abuse in their relationships.

Shortly after Cassie and the Grammy winner met in 2005, when she was 19 and he was in his mid-30s, an apparent pattern of control began to form.

According to papers filed by her, Diddy would purportedly provide her with drugs along with beating her. Furthermore, she claimed that he had forced her into engaging in sexual activities with male prostitutes while recording the entire process.

Responding to Cassie's claims against the multi-millionaire, Combs used his attorney, Ben Brafman, to dismiss them. "Mr. Combs strongly refuses these false and outrageous allegations," the legal representative stated.

They further said that over the last half year, Cassie has been persistently asking Diddy to pay her $30 million and backing up her demand by threatening to write a damaging book concerning their relationship.

This demand was firmly rejected as plain extortion. Ignoring withdrawing this request, she is now seeking justice in court with an action full of baseless fabrications, aiming to hurt the reputation of Mr. Combs and acquire a significant financial reward.

In response to the accusations against him, Diddy purportedly offered Cassie a sizable amount of money to remain silent. Douglas Wigdor, a lawyer for the singer-songwriter, released a statement saying: "[Diddy] offered [Cassie] eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit, but she refused."

Cassie had signed with Bad Boy Records shortly after meeting Diddy back in 2006, and her debut album was later released by his label that same year.

According to court documents, it was alleged that Sean Combs greatly influenced Cassie's day-to-day life, even going so far as to fund her car, apartments, and clothing. Furthermore, it is claimed that he delved into her medical records during their relationship. Sadly, though, fear kept Cassie from reporting any of this alleged abuse to law enforcement at that time.

Fearing further abuse from Diddy, Cassie reportedlydecided to move on from her relationship with Bad Boy in 2019.

Today, Cassie is happily married to Alex Fine, and the two are parents to two children.
