The "all clear" has been given to Josh Homme after his cancer struggle.

The leader of Queens of the Stone Age disclosed to Revolver in June that he received a cancer diagnosis the previous year and was currently recuperating following a successful surgical procedure to eradicate the malignancy.

In a recent interview, the 50-year-old was questioned about his cancer treatment regimen. "I'm good. I'm all clear," he said. "It's the kids that have made me feel better, you know, whether they're out in the crowd or in my own home, so I feel the best I've felt all year."

Following the dissolution of his marriage to Brody Dalle in 2019 and the passing of both his former bandmate Mark Lanegan and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022, Homme had previously referred to his cancer diagnosis as the "cherry on top" of "the darkest four years of my life."

"I had a little heartache, and I had a little of this and a little of that," he said to ITV News in reflection of that period. However, I've never picked up knowledge so rapidly. In the end, I feel closer to the things I really love, therefore I'm kind of grateful for it all. "It's OK to be broad and say, 'Dark times come', but I guess more than ever I'm just trying to look for the light, you know?"

In March 2022, after a protracted court struggle, the musician was given temporary exclusive custody of his and Dalle's three children.

The purpose of Homme's interview was to promote Queens of the Stone Age's U.K. and Ireland tour, which is scheduled to resume this Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland.

In a recent interview with ITV News, Homme made light of the fact that, looking back, it was "lunacy" to challenge John for the must-see, career-spanning spot.

"I saw him right before the show, and he very lovingly looked into my eyes and said, [adopts English accent] 'Josh - enjoy playing to all three of those people'." You can watch the full conversation below. "Hello Glastonbury, my name is Elton John," Homme said to the audience as he took the stage at this summer's Glastonbury.

The audience reportedly cheered "We love you, Elton" as the performer arrived.
