An unlikely pair came together to work on their shared advocacy about Salmon and love for music-Bjor and Rosalia-with their new song "Oral."

The pair surprised their fans with the collab and the new song, as well as its accompanying music video.

According to reports, Bjork had written and produced "Oral" over a decade ago, following her 1997 release "Homogenic" and 2021 release "Vespertine"; but she decided to put the song in the vault, however after digging it out, she decided to rework it with the help of Rosalia and Sega Bodega.

Bjork, Rosalia's 'Oral' Music Video

The music video starts with an announcement from the pair, noting that they will be "donating all their rights generated by this song to the Aegis Non-Profit Organization to combat open pen fish farming in Iceland."

The music video was very muted, showing both the Icelandic and Spanish singer-songwriters in white as they battle it out in what seems to look like an indoor gymnasium.

Towards the end of the music, instead of fighting against each other, they draw out swords and fight the audience by kicking and kneeing the camera.

"Carlota came up with the concept and executed the video, exploring the use of AI technology and embracing the glitches blurring the line between reality and virtuality whilst challenging the notions of identity.

"Throughout the piece, female rage is explored through Bjork's and Rosalía's avatars. They are not fighting each other; they are training together to fight the real and bigger enemy," the statement read about the music video.

Bjork, Rosalia's Advocacy

Elsewhere in their statement, Bjork and Rosalia called out the "cruel practices of open pen farming.

"This accelerates the fish's development and in many cases creates genetic mutations in the salmon's DNA, as well as being a breeding ground for a number of parasites and diseases," they wrote in their statement.

Fans were ecstatic with the newly released song and even hailed it as Song of the Year.

"Everything Rosalia does is acclaimed. She's only released 2 albums, but she's got it all!" One wrote.

"You know songs like that they are stories people can identify with," another added.

"Omg it's the new best track."

Only time will tell if "Oral" will really be hailed song of the year in upcoming music award shows.
