Julian Casablancas and the Voidz released another preview of their new album in the form of "Where No Eagles Fly," which made its debut on BBC Radio Monday.

While the most recent offering from Tyranny was the 11-minute excursion "Human Sadness," the newest track clocks in under four minutes and provides a more Strokes-ish sound at the beginning.

The end result is a song that sounds like Casablancas hitched up with Odelay-era Beck in the studio and then enlisted Kurt Cobain to write and execute the abrasive chorus.

You can listen to "Where No Eagles Fly" at this link (skip to the 45:00 mark).

Tyranny is due for a Sept. 23 release. In addition to standard physical and digital formats, the album will be available for pre-order on cassette and as a cigarette lighter (which is actually a USB drive in a lighter sleeve), Consequence of Sound points out.
