Zakk Wylde reflected on his future as a member of Pantera.

Following Dimebag and Vinnie Paul's departure from the band, Pantera embraced its current reformation and welcomed Wylde and Benante on board. Amid the band's legacy, questions about whether the current members would stay surfaced.

Zakk Wylde Reveals Plans With Pantera

Wylde appeared on the Q&A session at this year's Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp "Metalmania III" during which he answered the question about him playing with Pantera permanently. According to the musician, he would love to stay as long as he can.

"I told the guys whenever - as long as they wanna do it. I mean, all - I don't know why you would wanna end it... 'cause all you're [doing is] going out there and you're just celebrating the fellas," he said, per Loudwire. "So, and like I said, I think it's a beautiful thing and I get to hang out with my buddies... You get up there with the fellas every night and it's just awesome."

Pantera is currently gearing up to launch its North American Tour 2024, with Wylde on guitar. He would be playing with Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown as well as the Anthrax's drummer.

Instead of calling it a reunion tour, the heavy metal icons said it would be a tribute to its two late founding members.

Zakk Wylde Opens Up About Friendship With Vinnie Paul

Elsewhere in the session, he answered a query about his friendship with Vinnie Paul, who he called a great musician like his brother Dimebag.

"You could either be depressed or you could be loving life and whooping as much a-- as possible. So, yeah, they were just about always . . . having a good time. I mean, Dime would walk in a room if somebody was depressed as could possibly be, you know, he would just light up a room," he went on.

Vinnie Paul was found dead at his Las Vegas home on June 22, 2018, after suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy. Meanwhile, Dimebag was shot and killed on stage by an obsessed Pantera fan while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio on Dec. 8, 2004. Three others also died at that time.
