Sentencing for one of the men accused of murdering XXXTentacion may be cut short after a sentence reduction.

According to AllHipHop, Robert Allen, who received seven years initially, could now be accessible in four months due to his cooperation with authorities. His new sentence comes out at 64 months or five years.

Back in October, Robert Allen was fortunate to receive credit for all the time he had hitherto served, a total of 1,911 days. This would mean that his release could occur as soon as December this year.

XXXTentacion tragically passed away in June 2018 at just 20 years old after being shot outside a Florida motorcycle dealership.

The four individuals indicted for their role in his death comprised Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, and Robert Allen himself.

In August 2022, Allen admitted to being guilty of second-degree murder and promised to stand as a witness against his partners in crime.

During the trial, Allen was critical in a successful prosecution; he named Boatwright and Newsome as two men depicted in the security footage of XXXTentacion's killing, with Boatwright stated as the triggerman.

Allen revealed that Newsome stole XXXTentacion's Louis Vuitton bag filled with cash, and Williams drove the car away. The four perpetrators split the money, each receiving a share of $15,000, while Allen got an extra $5,000.

The testimony presented by Allen was an essential element in the case against Boatwright, Williams, and Newsome. As a result of this evidence, they were convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

In the end, Judge Michael Usan passed down disparate rulings: life in prison for the defendants due to an eight-day jury debate and seven years in jail with 20 years of probation for Allen due to his agreement to plead guilty.

Judge Usan saw the sincerity of Allen's regret and decided to give him a lenient sentence. He even ensured Allen's safety by removing his address from any relevant documents about his probation.

He felt this was an essential step in protecting Allen from the potential repercussions of his actions.
