Brenda Lee is amassing a massive worldwide fame as her song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," which was released 65 years ago, is making waves all over social media and also on the charts; how did she react to the big news?

According to NBC, the music legend will perform the famous holiday song at "Christmas at the Opry" this week. The program will be hosted by country singer Wynonna Judd.

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" became a staple holiday track since it was released in 1958. Although many people have listened to the song back then, it gained more popularity after it was used on the movie "Home Alone" starring Macaulay Culkin.

Lee initially didn't care about the song's usage on the film as she didn't know what it was.

She recalled: "They said 'Brenda, Brenda. Your song's in 'Home Alone.'" I said, 'So what, who? What is that?' They said, 'It's a movie. It's a hit movie, and your songs all over it.'"

Regarding her reaction to the song, she said: "It's a great song first of all, and I'm just glad I got it."
