Brenda Lee proved triumphant as she dethroned Mariah Carey at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree."

This also makes Lee the first artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart this 2024, and "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" the first No. 1 song of the year.

The song logged its fifth consecutive and sixth total week at the No. 1 spot of the Streaming Songs chart. On the Digital Song Sales charts, it rose to No. 6 coming from No. 8, and No. 22 on the Radio Songs Chart.

Notably, the song first reached its No. 1 high this year, usurping Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on the first December 2023 weekly chart.

Upon learning that the song had peaked at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last week, Lee had this to say:

"This is amazing! I cannot believe that 'Rockin' [Around The Christmas Tree]' has hit number one, 65 years after it was released. This is just so special! Thank you to the team at UMG/UMe who worked so hard to celebrate the song's anniversary this year, but most importantly, thank you to the fans who keep listening. The song came out when I was a young teenager and now to know that it has resonated with multiple generations and continues to resonate - it is one of the best gifts I have ever received. Keep on Rockin' and Merry Christmas!"
