After teasing her new single this past weekend and dropping the video for "We Are Here" just yesterday (Sept. 8), Alicia Keys stopped by last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a stunning performance of the oh, so political tune.

The talk show host introduced Keys by saying, "My next guest is a music superstar who launched a new song today which aims to start a dialogue about how we can create a more peaceful world for all children. It's called 'We Are Here'."

Fallon added that the musician was asking viewers to use the hashtag #WeAreHere and show a sign telling people "why you're here" in this world. Fallon, of course, noted that he's here to help us all forget about our problems for an hour ... and to "valet park Brian Williams' cars, keep 'em close and keep 'em clean."

With a peace sign displayed on the piano top, Keys managed to deliver an incredible performance of the new single, one that takes a real stance in order to promote peace and love. Her performance was comprised of the piano, her impeccable voice and the backing drums of the ever-so talented Roots member Questlove.

The song's powerful lyrics resonated within the walls of the Tonight Show studio: "Our souls are brought together so that we can love each other / We are here."

So, why are you here?
