Due to an increasing amount of sexual abuse lawsuits, Sean Combs - also known as P. Diddy - has resigned from his chairman position at Revolt.

Consequently, many companies have broken their partnerships with the hip-hop artist.

Another Exiled Celebrity

In response to accusations of sexual assault and physical violence made against Diddy by his ex-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie Ventura, as reported by Rolling Stone magazine, 18 different brands have removed their support of the platform.

The decision was made to stand in solidarity with victims and demonstrate the severity of these claims.

House of Takura, the luxury fashion label founded by Annette Njau, has taken a firm stance on the allegations against Diddy.

"We view these accusations with utmost gravity and find such activities abhorrent," Ms. Njau said.

Despite the much-anticipated launch of Empower Global last July, this company has unfortunately faced an unfortunate setback with the parting of confident brand founders and their associated commitment to honor individuals regardless of gender, ethnicity, or age.

With an investment of more than $20 million, Diddy eagerly expressed his enthusiasm about the new platform - one that would be used to empower Black-owned businesses.

Yet, since the recent allegations were made public, there has been a sharp and unexpected decrease in support for the platform.

Empower Global

Before the Empower Global and its lackluster performance, Rebecca Allen, founder of a high-end footwear company, had already made plans to end ties with the organization due to their lackluster performance.

She clarified that her business had not seen any significant sales from the partnership, prompting her to terminate it before accusations against Empower Global were publicized.

Due to the allegations, some brands decided to depart from Empower Global.

These companies had previously communicated that the platform needed to satisfy their expectations regarding sales or communication.

Like Amazon, Empower Global charges a subscription fee and takes a percentage of each sale as a marketplace fee.

Rolling Stone reports that some remain for various reasons amid the numerous brands who have ended their relationships with Empower Global.

Despite this, these firms are keeping a close watch on the situation and could sever ties if further damaging information is revealed or its brand reputation is affected.

Diddy Responds

In response to allegations made against him, Diddy issued a statement proclaiming his intention to defend himself and protect his name.

His legal representative later affirmed that a private settlement between the rapper and Cassie had been reached without the admission of guilt on any part.

Sean Combs has multiple business interests outside his music career and e-commerce ventures. These include his apparel line, Sean John, investments in the AQUAhydrate water line, and partnerships with Diageo for Ciroc vodka and DeLéon tequila.

However, recent reports suggest that Diageo is trying to prevent Diddy from using marketing funds to feature himself in new ads of DeLéon since it could damage the brand's reputation.
