Jennifer Lopez broke up with dancer Casper "Beau" Smart in June after two-and-a-half years together, but the "Booty" songstress says she is in no rush to start dating again.
In an interview on the Meredith Vieira Show, she said she was "just enjoying being on my own."
"I feel like I need that right now," she added. "I've been in relationships kind of back-to-back my whole life and I just needed time."
Prior to dating Smart, she was romantically linked to former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"I need time to just chill and just know me and enjoy my kids actually make time for other friends instead of just the relationship thing," Lopez explained.
She went on to talk about her twins, who just started first grade and how being a mother can take a toll on being glamorous all the time.
"This morning it took a minute to put all of this together," she admitted. "Nobody's perfect all the time and certainly not me. I wake up and I think to myself, 'Oh my God. Pull it together, Lopez! Let's go!'"
