It's been more than two years since Billie Eilish released her latest album "Happier Than Ever" and fans have been waiting for her to drop new music; is she finally releasing her next project soon?

The musician recently appeared in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on the "Tonight Show" before she makes her comeback on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend as a musical guest.

During the conversation with the famed talk show host, the singer revealed that her new album is coming really soon and she and her brother, who is also the producer of her music, Finneas, are now in the process of polishing the songs off her next record.

"We are almost done with this new album we're working on... So, at some point, you will know more, but I'm not going to say anymore now," she teased fans. (via Billboard)

Billie Eilish on the Song 'What Was I Made For'

The young singer took over the internet, specifically streaming platforms and social media videos, with her song "What Was I Made For."

The track, produced by her brother, Andrew Wyatt, and Mark Ronson, was a part of the movie "Barbie" directed and created by Greta Gerwig.

In the interview, the "Happier Than Ever" hitmaker revealed the process of writing the track, saying Gerwig told her that she wanted "Barbie's heart song."

After their conversation, the thought stuck with her and her brother.

"I feel like [the song] brought women together in this way that I feel like I haven't felt part of like that," she continued. "It made me feel really good," she further explained.

Billie Eilish 'What Was I Made For' Success

Even though Eilish didn't release an album this year, "What Was I Made For" was more than enough for her to bag several nominations from some of the biggest award-giving bodies.

Currently, the track is nominated for several categories like "Record of the Year," "Best Pop Solo Performance," "Best Song Written for Visual Media," and more at the 2024 Grammy Award.

In addition, it is also a contender under the category of Best Original Song for the Golden Globe Awards.

For this year, it was able to win the Billboard Music Awards as Favorite Movie Song, Variety's Hitmakers' as Film Song of the Year, and more.
