Concert tickets these days are considered as luxury because they are not as affordable as they used to be in the past. There are people who are willing to pay thousands of dollars just to see their favorite artists perform in person.

More recently, Dave Mustaine, the frontman of Megadeth, spoke about this issue and explained the real reason why the cost of passes on music events are very expensive.

The musician recently appeared in an interview with "The SDR Show" to give fans a background on how logistics behind tours happen and they could be pretty expensive too, resulting to the high cost of tickets for concerts.

"What happens is, you have each individual, and whether they're working or not working, they get paid on a per-day basis - a pier diem, per day. So you have whoever is out on the road. And for us, it's a lot of people," he noted.

He further noted that whenever they go on tour, they have different people in charge with individual things like the light man, a monitor man, the sound man, and more.

In addition, there are also a guitar tech, a drum tech, a man in charge for guitar and base, and another monitor guy.

On top of that, there are also people in charge with transporting the items that they need to bring from one city to another.

The musician expressed his disappointment over those people who complain about the prices as he added, "I'm sad to say that even if you had a choice in the matter, it's kind of what it is nowadays if you want to go see a live band because you just can't get from point A to point B anymore without spending a lot of money."
