Selena Gomez has been pretty vocal about being single for the majority of this year, in fact, she released a song titled "Single Soon," but 2023 has ended with a twist from the singer who just confirmed her relationship with Benny Blanco.
"Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people, because it's a bit of both," Gomez told Vogue Mexico y Latinoamerica about what she wants in a relationship and a partner.
"It's very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy," the "Lose You to Love Me" singer added.
Gomez recently confirmed and flaunted her relationship with the music producer.
Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco Confirm They're Dating
According to reports, Gomez and Blanco first met in 2019 when he worked on her song "I Can't Get Enough."
Gomez and Blanco had been dating secretly for the last six months, reports added, but they only confirmed that they are in a relationship last Dec. 7.
It was not until many years later that they began dating, and given her recent interview, that is probably it took her a while for her heart to open up to him and pursue a relationship with Blanco.
Fans initially did not take to the music producer, and their relationship was met with criticisms, however, the singer slash actress came in his defense: "He is my absolute everything in my heart."
"Not mad. It's been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends, family, and fans till the day I die," she wrote in another comment.

Selena Gomez's Dating History
Aside from Blanco, the "Only Murders in the Building" star has been linked to several high-profile individuals in the music scene.
According to reports, Gomez dated Nick Jonas in 2008, followed by her long-term, on again and off again relationship with Justin Bieber which began in 2009 and ended in 2018.
She also dated Orlando Bloom, Zedd, Charlie Puth, The Weeknd, and allegedly Niall Horan and even Zayn Malik.
This is probably why Gomez has to step away from the dating scene for a while and reassess exactly what she wants in a relationship before getting into another one with Blanco.
