While there has been an abundance of new celebrity couples this year, that is without a little heartbreak on their end because 2023 has seen a lot of long-term relationships come to an end.

The most recent breakup was between Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka; the couple have been together for seven years.

"He wants to have a family. That's not where she is at," a source told Page Six about the breakup that was confirmed a week ago.

Another couple that parted ways this December is Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner, who initially caught everyone's attention with their romance earlier this year.

When they first began dating, the Puerto Rican rapper's fans were vehemently against the relationship.

"Kendall recently started hanging out with him," a source said in February. "She likes him and is having fun."

Cardi B and Offset have been together since 2017, and they share two children: Kulture and Wave.

The cracks in their relationship has been around for years, but it seems like it has come to a breaking point this year.

Many netizens noticed that Cardi B and the former Migos rapper unfollowed each other on Instagram; later, it was confirmed by the "Bodak Yellow" rapper herself, who announced that she is single in an Instagram post.

"You know when you just outgrow relationships," the rapper wrote. "I'm tired of protecting peoples feelings...I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST."

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are 'Joever'

Another celebrity couple that has garnered its fanbase is Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn, who broke up in April after dating for six years.

Sources revealed that the breakup was due to "differences in their personalities" and that the singer "didn't see them working out in the long run" as the actor "struggled" with her level of fame.

Swift has not shared much about her breakup, however, she did drop several breakup songs in her 2022 album "Midnights," including a bonus track called "You're Losing Me."
