BLACKPINK's Jennie not-so-subtly hinted that she is ready to gear up and finally release her solo debut studio album this year.

"My dream is to release my first full-length solo album this year to the world," Jennie announced.

BLACKPINK fans are rejoicing that the four members of the KPOP girl group are finally "free" to do what they want as artists following their long and arduous negotiations over their solo contracts.

"This is 100% confirmation that [YG Entertainment] was the sabotage," a fan wrote, alluding that Jennie's former label prevented them from making and releasing music as they pleased.

"Jennie's solo album dreams coming to life! We can't wait to experience the magic of your first full-length solo album in 2024. The excitement is real!"

"YG didn't give her an album so she's giving herself one! QUEENIE!!"

"That's right sis this should have happened a long time ago let's go," another added.

BLACKPINK Jennie's Previous Music Drops

While Jennie is hardly a stranger to releasing music as a solo artist, she is yet to drop a full-length album.

In 2018, she released her debut single "SOLO," followed by another single "You And Me" in 2023.

"I'm making a song that's by Jennie, the most Jennie and something unique that is only Jennie's," the KPOP star said about her debut single.

She emphasized that she was trying to show a different side to her, and exploring music.

"I'm still discovering my own color," she said in 2022. "I love vocals, rap, dance - I can contain all of that in a single song. I have that diversity. Jennie in BLACKPINK has a limited image, but I have so many other things I like. There's a lot of things I can do. The Jennie you've seen so far has been practice. "

Jennie Establishes Odd Atelier Label

After the news of BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose refusing to renew their contract with YG Entertainment as solo artists, fans were delighted, but also a bit apprehensive.

So far, only Jennie and Jisoo have revealed their plans for the future in terms of management and label.

According to reports, Jennie launched her company Odd Atelier, or OA, late last year.

"Hi, this is Jennie. This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I'm so thankful for all the love I've received," the singer wrote in a statement.

"I'm also about what's to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course BLACKPINK. Thank you."
