Michael Bolton gave a harrowing update about his health after undergoing surgery to remove his brain tumor.

Thankfully, he's now recovering from the said rather critical surgery.

Michael Bolton Surgery Update

In a Facebook post, music icon Michael Bolton shared that he had undergone critical surgery in the past few days.

"Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery. Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success," the 70-year-old singer revealed. "I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family."

As for what he would be doing for recovery, Michael Bolton had this to say:

"For the next couple of months, I will be devoting my time and energy to my recovery which means I'll have to take a temporary break from touring. It is always the hardest thing for me to ever disappoint my fans or postpone a show, but have no doubt I am working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon."

According to the "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" singer he was "beyond grateful" for the "love and support" that people have showered him through the years.

"Know that I'm keeping your positive messages in my heart, and I'll give you more updates as soon as I can. Much love always, MB," he wrote.

According to People Magazine, Bolton had discussed being optimistic during trying times.

"We were basically observing our friends and family and seeing that they all really needed some light, that it was so dark and oppressive and basically we were all just carrying layers of fear to our every day," he shared about his record "Beautiful World." "And so we started to feel a sense of responsibility to deliver hope and promise and all these feelings that seem to be so elusive, and it started to become a feel-good record."

Fans have showered Michael Bolton with well-wishes and support on social media.

"We all love you and wish you a speedy recovery, don't worry about touring your health comes first and that's what's important. Plz rest and us fans all support you. Love to you and your family," a fan wrote.
