Despite falling flat at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, Taylor Swift extends her Billboard 200 chart record with "1989 (Taylor's Version)."

Swift has ruled the charts in an unprecedented record, specifically for her re-recorded albums.

She recently surpassed Elvis Presley's record of being the solo artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on the genre-blending albums chart.

This was the first time since the Holidays that a holiday album was not present on the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Notably, Swift occupies four spots on the Billboard 200 Top 10 charts. "Midnights" sits at No. 5, "Lover," at No. 6, and "Folklore" at No. 10.

With this specific placement, it solidifies Republic Records' domination on the charts with eight albums occupying the Top 10 of the chart and the top six all coming from the said label.

Swift earned 64,000 album-equivalent units for "1989 (Taylor's Version)" this week.

Taylor Swift Failed To Win At The 2024 Golden Globe Awards

Taylor Swift was present at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards with her slinky green dress. For a change, Swift was not nominated for Best Original Song, but she was nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, an award specifically created for a film that became a juggernaut at the box office.

Swift's record-breaking "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" was nominated in this category, which was the only reason why her attendance was warranted at the event. Despite breaking numbers that only Michael Jackson has set, Swift lost to "Barbie," which critics also believe was a handover to the film.

Swift also made headlines at the Golden Globe after her now-iconic reaction toward host Jo Koy's tasteless joke.

"As you know, we came on after a football doubleheader," Jo Koy quipped. "The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? On the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift, I swear."

Then, the camera panned to an unamused Taylor Swift looking at the host, sipping her Chardonnay quietly.
