Lisa Marie Presley left a beautiful memory inside a "secret drawer" in Graceland when she was a child.
Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley's only child, Lisa Marie, died of cardiac arrest on January 12, 2023. The medical examiner's office said the health issue was caused by a small bowel obstruction.
A year after her death, the childhood message she left inside Graceland earned attention again.
What Did Lisa Marie Presley Write?
Lisa Marie had been open about the first years she spent at Graceland before and after her father died in 1977. According to the late singer, she felt so much terror when she was at that age.
Still, Graceland archivist Angie Marches told Express U.K. that Lisa Marie left a message on the drawer in the corridor next to the mansion's kitchen.
The archivist showed the message, "Lisa's home Graceland," with a smiley face, all of which were reportedly written by the "Lights Out" singer.
After Lisa Marie Presley's death, Priscilla filed a petition over the will she left since the late singer wanted to give her trust to her three daughters.
Elvis Enterprises' Joel Weinshanker said during his appearance on Sirius XM's Elvis Radio in 2023 that Lisa Marie always had plans for the future of Graceland.
"We discussed this many many times [before] she passed, and that was always Riley and Ben," Weinshanker said. "There was never a question in her mind that they would be the stewards, that they would look at it the exact same way that she did. And obviously when Ben passed, it really sat with Riley."

Fans Remembered Lisa Marie Presley
One year after her death, social media users posted heartfelt messages to remember Lisa Marie and honor her legacy.
One said, "Remembering Lisa Marie Presley on this solemn anniversary. Her spirit and legacy continue to shine brightly in our hearts."
"Remembering Lisa Marie Presley on the one year anniversary of her passing. Her relationship with Austin brought beauty and light back into her life after the death of her son two years prior. I'm glad she had that with him," another wrote.
Meanwhile, Lisa Marie's daughter Riley posted a rare photo of herself with her late mother on Instagram.
