    The American Music Awards are pulling out all the stops for their 2013 ceremony. Today (Nov. 13), the annual event announced three more big name performers. Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and a recently reunited TLC will all perform at the Nov. 24 ceremony in Los Angeles.
  • Roger Waters completes first rock record in 20 years, may take 'The Wall' back on tour

    Roger Waters has recently finished up a three year-long tour, and at the age of 70, he's already tearing at the bit. The frontman for Pink Floyd told Rolling Stone that he's recently completed the audio for his first solo album in more than 20 years. Naturally, being a Waters project, it's more complex than your typical rock record.
  • Tiësto, Phoenix, Matt & Kim to play X Games Aspen 2014

    X Games Aspen 2014 has an impressive lineup of music acts including world-renowned DJ Tiësto and dance icon/producer Axwell. Bands Phoenix and Matt & Kim will perform the day prior on Saturday January 25th. Ticket sales will support The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
  • Joy Division members disapprove the auction for Ian Curtis' kitchen table on Ebay

    A table once owned by Ian Curtis of Joy Division went to auction and today is the final bidding day. Currently the bid has reached £8,200.00. Tel Harrop is the one selling the table, a longtime collector of Joy Division memorabilia. Curtis' family and other bandmates are not happy with the sale of the table and have shared their upset.

    It seems that it's hard for some pop artists to find the right balance between pushing the limits and taking it too far (assuming some of that isn't just hunger for publicity). Lily Allen is the one now defending some of the choices she made with her dancers in the newly released video for "Hard Out Here," the most recent track from the artist since 2009.
  • Don Cheadle to play Miles Davis in upcoming biopic 'Kill the Trumpet Player'

    The Associated Press announced today that Don Cheadle will play jazz pioneer Miles Davis in an long-planned, upcoming biopic called Kill the Trumpet Player. Cheadle, who will also be making his directorial debut for the film, and Steven Baigelman wrote the script. Cheadle has been trying to make the film for years, and production is finally set to begin in June.

    Eminem was in charge of the Digital Downloads charts last week, placing three different songs in the Top 10. The excellent sales of his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 seems to have driven down his singles sales however, and the rapper only has one track this week. In a recent visit to the Pittsburgh radio station Froggy this week, the "Everything Has Changed" singer did a country-twinged rap cover of Eminem's classic 2002 track "Lose Yourself," and it's just as bizarre, adorable and kind of awesome as one would expect.

    The week would have been pretty crummy for album sales if it weren't for Eminem and 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2." The record had the second biggest sales week for any album during 2013, and accounted for more than 14 percent of record sales last week.
