    Time just flies when you're watching The Voice. We're just two weeks into season eight with Ada Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams, and the teams all are starting to fill out nicely. After three talent-filled shows to kick off the seasons, things really slowed down tonight.

Shelton has experienced a career boost since joining the cast in 2011. The country star talked to ABC News Radio about why he keeps coming back to the show.

As always, the segment provided plenty of laughs at the expense of the celebrities.

Shelton, one of the more humorous celebrities on the NBC singing show, was a good sport with all the jokes.

The pair played The Whisper Challenge, where one player wears headphones blaring loud music and the other says a phrase for them to guess. The game's big reveal was that Shelton has no clue who Benedict Cumberbatch is.

That said, it's tough to blame the Academy and CBS for not wanting to shake things up: Although the performer will have now hosted 10 times, the recent results don't lie. The previous three years have featured, respectively, the no. 1, 3, and 2 highest viewerships since the '80s (the 2012 edition got a boost from those tuning in after Whitney Houston's death).
