In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Scott revealed that the album would be arriving sometime in March. It was a very typical way for the "Don't Play" rapper to make the announcement that was raised by a mother who was a retailer for Louis Vuitton. He commented on the meaning of the album title, Rodeo in the same interview.

Rumors surfaced that the fight was over Diddy's girlfriend Cassie, and DJ Sam Sneaker tweeted that Drake ended up in the hospital because of the brawl."MTV News" was not able to confirm the reports that the fight was over Cassie or that Drake was hospitalized. It did confirm with a witness that the brawl occurred, though. DJ Sneaker offered a few tweets about it, and he responded to a post by Lil Duval claiming that the story was made up.Drake and Diddy have yet to comment on the alleged incident.
