Things are looking optimistic for America, as Pharrell Williams' track "Happy" rose to the top of the Billboard Digital Downloads chart last week (not that a song named "Sad" was ever at the top). Williams got a continued boost from radio play, Beats commercials, DVD sales of Despicable Me 2, The NBA All-Star Game...just about everything. The track jumped 31 percent in sales and moved 329,000. -

Rock legends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards, Billboard reports. The two former Beatles will be this year's recipients of the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. On November 5th, John Legend and Columbia Records will release a digital soundtrack for the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. There are 16 tracks, which come from a group of artists with great range in style. On November 5th, the digital version will come out, followed by the "old-school," physical version. -
