• Lee Brice Partners with Jagermeister for Fall Country Music Tour

    One could be forgiven to buying into the stereotypes regarding beer and whiskey as the go-to adult beverages of choice for country music stars, but Lee Brice is shaking things up a bit by grabbing Jagermeister as the primary sponsor for his upcoming tour. The "Jagermeister Presents" country tour will feature Brice, as well as openers Granger Smith and Brian Milson.

    Lee Brice recently announced a short college tour that begins at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, April 8 and ends at the University of New Hampshire in Durham May 2. The singer is touring in support of his September release I Don't Dance. The new dates are surrounded by a slew of other shows including Virginia Beach's Patriotic Festival May 29, Columbus's Buckeye Country Superfest and Harrington's Delaware Junction Festival.

    As Garth Brooks continues to make his way across the country in support of his first album in 13 years, "Man Against Machine," there has been plenty of opportunities for admirers to share the stage with him. Most notably, Justin Timberlake and the country legend sang "Friends in Low Places" together, and recently Lee Brice scored an invite onstage. Brice co-wrote Brooks's 2007 hit "More Than a Memory," and that is what the pair sang at a show in Boston last week.

    Country superstars Lee Brice and Chris Young have teamed up for a string of co-headlining dates this winter. According to "Taste of Country," their joint dates kick off Jan. 22 in Syracuse, New York, and finish March 8 in the considerably warmer climate of Honolulu, Hawaii. Country duo The Brothers Osborne will be opening for seven of the nine dates. You can check out the complete list of tour dates below. "Lee and I had a blast last year when we were out with Brad [Paisley]," Chris Young said in a press release, via "Taste of Country," "and so we thought it would be great to join up for a co-headlining tour for our fans this winter. I can't wait to kick things off in Syracuse later this month and head west all the way to Hawaii!" This tour comes in support of Lee Brice's most recent album "I Don't Dance," which was released in September. The album was Brice's third overall, his first since 2012's "Hard 2 Love," and spawned the singles "I Don't Dance" and "Drinking Class." Chris Young's most recent album "A.M." — not to be confused with the Wilco or Arctic Monkeys albums of the same name — was released in 2013, and was the singer's fourth studio album.

    Lee Brice is at the top of his game right now, coming off the solid September release of his third studio effort "I Don't Dance." The successful songwriter salutes the working class in his new video for the album's second single "Drinking Class." As "Rolling Stone Country" points out, this is not some tip-of-the-cap single to weekend debauchery. Brice aims to honor the men and women who work hard all week long and relax even harder when the weekend hits. "I wanted to pay tribute to the hardworking men and women who get up every day and work hard to provide for their families," he told "RSC." "It's where I come from and where my heart is." Images of labor, sweat and family pervade the video below before scenes of bar antics take hold. The song is a prime example of why Brice is one of the genre's most talented songwriters.

    Country music's The Boot debuted the Golden Boot Awards this year with five categories: Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Live Act of the Year and Artist of the Year. Each category featured seven artists who made waves in the country world from May 2013 through April 2014. Fans voted through June 9, 2014 and winners were announced earlier this week.
