    Lil Wayne made major headlines today when a video emerged of him announcing an undisclosed deal with Jay Z. With the moves behind the scenes starting to crystallize, Weezy has still been stamping his name on various remixes, freestyles and features in 2015 as his much-anticipated album Tha Carter V remains in legal purgatory as a result of his $51 million lawsuit with Birdman's Cash Money Records. On Friday, the "Glory" rapper shared two freestyles over tracks from French Montana's "Off The Rip" and Bankroll Fresh's "Hot Boy." Now that "Hot Boy" freestyle has been finished with an official remix featuring former Cash Money Records running mates Juvenile and Turk.

Last night at legacy Bay Area hip-hop radio station 106 KMEL's annual Summer Jam, Lil Wayne performed and during his set he took the time to make a very special career-related announcement. Details are very scarce, but according to an Instagram video from the night, Weezy announced to the crowd that he had signed a deal with Jay Z, more specifically saying "I just signed a deal with my motherf*ckin idol Jay Z."

    Potential problems over at Young Money as New Orleans rapper Widner "Flow" Degruy is wanted in connection to a double murder in his hometown last week. Brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop were found shot dead in an SUV last week and video footage appears to show Degruy and another man running away from the scene. No motive has been released.

In an interview with NDO Radio, Thugger revealed that he plans to release a mixtape in the coming months before his album Hy!£UN35 arrives in August. As another jab at Lil Wayne and Cash Money, he says he wants to name the tape Carter V because Lil Wayne hasn't dropped his album yet and is unclear on what they are doing.
