Simon Cowell returned to U.K.'s "The X Factor" this season, but he did nothing to stem the show's ratings decline. Sunday, Dec. 14, marked the fourth straight year the season finale dropped its viewership numbers, with only 9.4 million tuning in, compared to 9.7 million last year. Still, Cowell was positive about the show on social media and sent a friendly tweet to those who helped out this year: We just got home. What a great night! So happy for @Bhaenow . Sad for @FleurEast. But what a final! I felt very proud tonight. — Simon Cowell (@SimonCowell) December 15, 2014 I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who worked on the show this year. — Simon Cowell (@SimonCowell) December 15, 2014 "Billboard" reported the finale numbers for every season of the show and noted that this year's 9.4 million mark was The X Factor's lowest since 2005, when it drew 9.3 million. Cowell already expressed regret this year for his handling of the American version of the show, which he decided to cancel in February. -

Would they collaborate in a conspiracy with a major television program? Simon Cowell says "no" but that's exactly what some are alleging what happened when X Factor contestant Fleur East performed Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" last weekend. -
'X Factor' Judge Simon Cowell Hires Son as 1D's Drummer: Infant Drums to 'Story of My Life' [WATCH]
It looks like One Direction has found its new drummer — at least, that is what Simon Cowell thinks. The former "American Idol" judge and current "The X Factor" personality posted a video on Facebook of his 9-month-old son Eric playing along to the group's hit "Story of My Life." "One Direction have just hired Eric as their new drummer," Cowell joked. The infant does not drum as much as he just bounces and enjoys the group's single, but it is adorable anyway.
