Zedd's revisiting of the Sammy Davis Jr.-created theme song for M&Ms may have caused a little more controversy that initially planned (looking at you Diplo), but that has not stopped him and Aloe Blacc from pushing the record out to the masses. The pair went on ABC's Good Morning America to perform a stripped down, acoustic rendition of "Candyman" that showcases the musical talents of each artist with a backing band for support.

Donning classy black suits and tuxedos, Zedd plays the melody on a piano, while Aloe Blacc sounds just as good live on the GMA set as he does on the studio recording.

Blacc and Zedd are joined on stage by two guitarists, a drummer and horn section with a saxophone, trumpet and trombone.

The classy and brassy performance leaves behind those Flume synths that were oft-discussed on social media and probably the handy-work of co-producer and Zedd protégé Grey and goes for something that fits the feel of the campaign. Since it is an EDM remake of the 1972 track by Sammy Davis Jr. for M&M's 75th anniversary, there is an LED wall off to the side with some sneaky, 3D visuals going that probably appear during his live sets.

This is not the first time Zedd has made an appearance on TV. He performed a medley of hits on including "Find You" with Matthew Koma on Jimmy Kimmel in 2014. He made his late night debut with The Late Show with David Letterman performing his hit single "Clarity" with Foxes.

"Candyman" initially arrived without too much fanfare, but then became a huge topic of discussion after Diplo called him out for "selling out" and writing a bad song with Flume synths. He claims he was just trying to help. Of course deadmau5 got involved. It just gave the song more publicity in the end.
