Tom Holland surprised everyone when it was announced that he will don the red-and-blue webbed spandex for his own cinematic outing. Luckily, one of the movie's posters certainly changed everyone's mindset about "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and one that Holland expected the least.

The poster in question was the one where Spider-Man, played by Holland, could be seen resting with what appears to be a view of New York City on the background, Avengers Tower and all. While the image could give the impression that the latest Spider-Man flick will have a more youthful vibe, it was revealed by Holland himself that it was not part of the movie, at least according to the script.

Apparently, as Screen Rant shares a post from Instagram user "therealspideyman", Holland was actually taking a nap in between takes during filming. A photographer from the crew took notice of young Holland's shut-eye, snapped a photo of the moment, adding the New York skyline via digital editing.

The simplicity of the image contrasted very much to the initial poster, which was just filled to the brim with main characters, Cinema Blend reports. It also affirmed the fact that the movie will dwell more into Peter Parker as a person, or in Holland's case, a teenager, than a hardened superhero.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" brought in a lot of firsts for the webhead's movie cred. Aside from being the first Spider-Man title to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is also the first to not be an origin story, as it takes up from the events of "Captain America: Civil War." Robert Downey Jr. brings his Tony Stark/Iron Man persona to boost the movie's lineup, playing as a mentor-like figure to Tom's young superhero.

Tom Holland's take on Spider-Man was positively received, with "Spider-Man: Homecoming grossing more than $700 million worldwide. Holland will also be part of MCU's "Avengers: Infinity War" two-parter, with the first one slated for a 2018 release, while the second one is scheduled for 2019.
