Taylor Swift's 'Look What You Made Me Do' Grabs The No.1 Spot From 'Despacito'

Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" has swept its way to No. 1 spot, changing the continuous luck of "Despacito" as it almost surpasses Mariah Carey-Boyz II Men hit "One Sweet Day."At 16th weeks in No. 1, "Despacito" is just one-week away to be the longest chart-topper ever in the history of Billboard Hot 100 charts, but in this case, it will join the throne of "One Sweet Day" until another song can surpass them. Who knows if it will be Taylor Swift's song, as it captures the attention of most of its listeners and viewers in the shortest span of time.

From an initial Billboard spot at No. 77, Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" went all the way to No. 1 and has earned the highest record of streams of a song by a woman. For the record, Adele's "Hello" only got 61.6 million streams in its first week of release. "Look What You Made Me Do" also has the highest weekly streaming and sales sums for a track in 2017 with 84.4 million U.S streams as per Nielsen Music.

This is the first single released for her upcoming album "Reputation" which is set to launch on Nov 10, PEOPLE reports. As fans of Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift joined on a war to remove "Despacito" before it overtakes "One Sweet Day", Swift's fans organized a plan to buy or stream Swift's new song and announced it on twitter.

And the quest was easy with what "Look What You Made Me Do" achieved on its first 24-hours after its release. Taylor Swift will add this to two of her No. 1 in Streaming Songs "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space." Taylor Swift is currently on her fifth-time in No. 1, along with her songs like "Never" in 2012, "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space" in 2014 and "Bad Blood" in 2015 feat. Kendrick Lamar.
