    Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is open about how much the Washington, D.C., punk rock scene in the 1980s shaped him as an artist, and for the next episode of his HBO documentary Sonic Highways, Grohl will be revisiting his hometown. Today (Oct. 21), the "Something From Nothing" band unveiled the episode's trailer and announced a small club show to follow the premiere.

    Canadian folk band The Strumbellas celebrated the U.S. release of their sophomore album We Still Move On Dance Floors last month. The effort won them the Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year and was also nominated for the 2014 Polaris Prize. The band stopped by the Music Times offices before their show in NYC to talk about the album, their upcoming plans and what it felt like to win a Juno.

    Classic new wave group Simple Minds, best known for their 1985 hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” has shared a new single “Midnight Walking” from their upcoming album Big Music, which you can check out over at Consequence of Sound. The dancey track features some delicious synths that wouldn’t be out of place on an Aphex Twin song, so these guys definitely don’t sound like they’re stuck in the past.

    Last year, South Park brought back rapper Kanye West for their season 17 finale when Yeezy adamantly defended then-fiancée Kim Kardashian against remarks that she resembled a hobbit. The joke will get new life on Record Store Day's Black Friday (Nov. 28) when the show puts out a special seven-inch vinyl single of the parody tune "My B***ch Ain't No Hobbit."

    Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller has signed a deal with Warner Bros. Records, which is reportedly worth $10 million, "Fader" reports. In celebration of this deal, Miller has shared a new song through his Soundcloud page called "Just Some Raps, Nothing to See Here, Move Along," which you can check out below.

    Monica Lewinsky made her first public address this weekend at a "Forbes" summit in Philadelphia. The monologue was mostly about cyberbullying and how she fits into the broader picture — she was essentially the world's first cyberbullying victim after her relationship with then-President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s. She also gave a shout-out to the artists who have name-dropped her in songs through the years, including Eminem, Beyoncé and Lil' Wayne.

He’s no Al Pacino, but he makes it work.
