Jimmy Kimmel hit back at Donald Trump and defended Taylor Swift against the "insecure" former U.S. president.

The buzz started as reports claimed Trump feared Swift would support and endorse President Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 presidential election despite the "Anti-Hero" singer's silence over the matter. Trump's supporters also declared a "holy war" against Swift, which made Swifties worry about her and her security.

Jimmy Kimmel Defends Taylor Swift

On the Wednesday, January 31, episode of Kimmel's show, the late-night talk show host mocked Trump and his supporters' obsession with Swift and the former president's "insecurity" because of the singer-songwriter's popularity.

"If Taylor Swift told her fans to storm the Capitol on January 6th? They would have succeeded; they would be running the country right now. They would not have stopped," Kimmel quipped. "And why is he even thinking like this? He is not running against Taylor Swift."

Kimmel also compared Swift and Trump's popularity after the latter said he is more famous than the award-winning musician. The television host then gave the public a picture, describing how Trump's rally at SoFi Stadium would still have enough empty seats "to also hold a Taylor Swift concert."

He added that Swifties willingly pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to see the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer, whereas his supporters only appear because of his free rallies.

In addition, Kimmel shared how Swift is just so popular that people want to see and watch her while watching a football game.

In one of his strongest tirades, Kimmel berated Trump by declaring he is "not even the most popular Donald," referencing the cartoon character, Donald Duck.

Kimmel ended his monologue by saying Trump might even enjoy Swift's songs "if he wasn't so jealous."

Trump responded to Swift's move when she endorsed two Tennessee Democrats running during the 2018 midterms, saying, "I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now."

"Celebrities can endorse Biden, but it doesn't lower inflation, stop wars, fix the border, or lower crime. Biden's job approval still sucks. So Trump is still winning and will win," top pollster for Trump, John McLaughlin, told the news outlet.
