Taylor Swift recently attended this year's Grammy Awards where she snagged several awards and made history for having the most Album of the Year throphies. For her red carpet look, many fans believe that she paid homage to a silent film actress from the 20th century; who could this be?

According to Page Six, the pop star loves adding references to her outfits as fans immediately noticed one detail. The singer wore a Lorraine Schwartz choker from an old watch and the time was set to 12:00, which hinted that she referred to her album "Midnights."

However, there was one more that not everyone got from her outfit, she seemingly paid tribute to an actress named Clara Bow, which is seemingly not coincidental as her upcoming album, "The Tortured Poets Department," features a song of the same name.

Did Taylor Swift Pay Tribute to Clara Bow?

A user took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out the similarities between Swift and the late actress.

In an image shared on social media, Swift could be seen layers of necklaces including chokers which is similar to what Bow would wear back in the day.

In addition, both artists also love wearing red lipstick and their cupid's bows are always defined in shape.

Some fans also noted that Swift had been teasing about Clara Bow for a long time as the late actress used to have a graphic design of a star on her cheek, which Swift previously did.

Who Was Clara Bow?

Clara Bow was born in 1905 in Brooklyn, New York. Her career skyrocketed during the silent movie era and one of her most popular movies was "It" where she was referred to as "It Girl."

Aside from her fashion sense, She was also the subject of many tabloid news especially when she gained more popularity later in life, whici also similar to Swift's career as there were articles written about her on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, Clara Bow had problems with her mental health which opted her to retire from the Hollywood industry in 1933. She passed away in 1965 as she suffered a heart attack. At the time of her death, she was only 60 years old.
